Writing a Blog

Writing a blog is an uncomfortable space for me. In my mind, a blog is only written to reach a broad audience, else private documents shared with specific people would suffice. So, to reach said (unknown) audience, the articles must be addressed to the audience, without knowing who they are or what their context is. I like writing in this conversational tone, to address the note to someone, and I practice it in all my writing, because so far all my writing has been to a specific audience. But with a blog, I do not know who you, the reader, are. And I am assuming your attention, and your understanding of some of my context, as I address my article to you. This assumption feels extremely presumptuous to me. So, this post is to let you know that I will try to presume nothing about your attention, but do enjoy writing in the tone that addresses you as if I had fully captured your attention for these few minutes.
